    3 things to know today

    Fight racism

    Diversity Initiatives is looking for volunteers for their first Hands Across Campus day on April 17, which will symbolize the UA community coming together to fight racism, bias and bigotry. The group needs participants who are willing to speak on the UA Mall, do a performance that reflects diversity or hold hands around the Mall.     Cocoa may reverse blood vessel damage

    Cocoa could improve blood vessel function, according to a study in the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology. Flavanol in the cocoa reversed impairment of blood flow from damaged vessels. Other research on flavanols suggest they can lower cholesterol and blood pressure.

    Spring break schedules

    Although classes will be on recess next week for spring break, the university will be operating on normal hours. But the UA Main Library’s hours will be different and can be viewed at http://www.library.arizona.edu/about/hours.
