Safety Cam Nelson is this week’s Pacific 10 Conference Player of the Week for his efforts in Arizona’s 27-13 win over the UCLA Bruins on Saturday.
The senior tallied six tackles and two sacks for -11 yards. More importantly, Nelson forced two fumbles that each set up an Arizona touchdown.
As a team, the Wildcat defense held the Bruins to 65 rushing and 146 passing yards while disallowing any offensive touchdowns.
Sophomore wide receiver Juron Criner was listed on the honorable mention list for the offensive Pac-10 Player of the Week award for his two-touchdown performance.
Tailback Allen Bradford of USC won the offensive award and punt returner Damian Williams, also of the Trojans, won the special team award.
