The Arizona Club Soccer team will go from rags to riches for the weekend as they take on ASU tonight at 7 under the lights at Murphey Stadium instead of the usual confines of the Rincon Vista Sports Complex.
“”The team is very excited about playing in Murphey,”” said UA head coach David Hunter. “”It’s unfortunate that team has only played there once in the last decade.””
The team was supposed to play in the stadium six years ago against Pima Community College, but the sprinklers went off just as the game got underway. Hunter said the game was canceled despite the stadium full of people.
Arizona (8-1-3) is coming off a 5-2 win over ASU on Saturday in Tempe, so the Wildcats understand that the Sun Devils will have revenge on their minds after losing to the Wildcats just six days ago.
