We talked to political science senior Leah Durnin after her KAMP Student Radio talk show “”The World At Large.””

Wildcat: You’re on the spot. So how do you feel about the fact that Hillary and Obama are still competing while McCain’s going untouched?

    Durnin: I think it definitely…

W: But, with the fact that McCain will beat them, probably.

D: I’ve heard that report as well, and I think…

W: Do you think she’ll be able to get back on track?

D: I hope that she will be, I mean, Barack has always been a better fundraiser than…

W: I think it’s just a lot of people say that he has charisma, and he is the one who has the most individual donors, where she has big donors. If they run out of money, they can’t give her any more money.

D: Exactly, especially with the campaign financing reform act…

    (Both): With John McCain.

    D: Will help…

W: That’s true. Do you think, because McCain is such a big guy with campaign financing and everything, do you think he’s bad with foreign policy issues?

D: Definitely not, not saying that he’s…

W: Did you hear about how he made those gaffes about, he said the wrong person…

    D: Yeah, yeah.

    W: Attacking Iraq.

D: Everyone makes mistakes, and John Kerry called him out about…

W: But oh, that reminds me too. What do you think about John Kerry and democratic insiders deciding who is going to be…

D: I want Chris Dodd to step up.

    W: Yeah.

    D: Chris Dodd, for me…

    W: Have you heard about…

D: Or Howard Dean. Howard Dean to step up. He’s a leader of the DNC. He needs to come out…

    W: What about Al Gore?

D: Whoever Al Gore lends his support to will definitely have a better…

W: Yeah, I was looking on the news, and they said that he could actually be the nominee if it’s not chosen in the next month.

    D: I don’t think that’s possible.

W: Yeah. I know. I thought it was ridiculous too. Do you think that either of them have a chance though of winning in the next month?

D: I think that, we have Pennsylvania coming up. Hillary is projected to win Pennsylvania, and…

W: But what happens if Hillary wins the next few and then they’re just tied?

D: Then the DNC is going to step in and they’re going to have to…

    W: Yeahhh.
