Formerly of the Big 12 Conference, the University of Colorado Buffaloes will join Arizona and the other nine Pacific 10 Conference teams, according to multiple news sources.
The news came amidst growing speculation that Nebraska would move to the Big Ten Conference, which some say will dissolve the Big 12.
“”This is an historic moment for the conference, as the Pac-10 is poised for tremendous growth,”” Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott said in a statement.
“”The University of Colorado is a great fit for the conference both academically and athletically and we are incredibly excited to welcome Colorado to the Pac-10.””
Heavy rumors of a powerhouse Pac-16 Conference have included the additions of Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, along with Colorado.
