Head coach Chad Berman of Arizona Hockey has recently been named as a finalist for the American Collegiate Hockey Association Coach of the Year award.
Berman is being named to the list for the second consecutive season after having led the University of Arizona club hockey team to a 25-4-3 regular season record during his sixth year at Arizona.
The two biggest highlights of the season were the Wildcats winning their second WCHL title in a row and defending their Cactus Cup record with a sweep of in-state rival ASU in the final two games.
Berman was previously named the 2019-20 WCHL Coach of the Year and his overall record as a coach now improves to 117-84-6.
Berman is joined by three other finalists for the award: Gary Astalos (Adrian College), Kyle Zoldy (Drexel University) and Kirk Handy (Liberty University).
The winner will be determined by all 70 ACHA coaches voting from the list of finalists.
