Matt, who is your favorite college basketball team?

The ‘Cats, obviously.

Why?

I have been here for three years now. Even after we lost Lute Olson and a lot of players like Brandon Jennings. It kind of sucks this year, but I am going to stick by my team, my college and my city. I think we have a really good shot and I would love to see our tournament streak continue this year even though we have played poorly against … teams. I still believe we have our Big Three, which produces a lot of numbers for us and still contribute.

Who is your favorite player on the U of A basketball team?

My favorite player honestly would have to be Zane Johnson. I like where he has brought his potential, especially within the last five games. He’s come off as a player and has started to produce more ball movement and become more aggressive as a player. It is nice to see him, especially since he will be after our big three leave … Zane Johnson is going to be the man carrying the ball down for us and be the man scoring and creating more possession.

You mentioned the Big Three. What do you think of them?

Our Big Three is solid, but we honestly need an extra man or an extra two men to step in on every game and create a little bit more offense for us. We need extra help from our bench. We need more bench play and when we have the bench play, besides the Big Three, we actually get our wins.
