In a half that was much different than its Pac-12 Conference opener against Washington State, Arizona trailed Washington 35-33.
The back and forth game has already seen five ties and six lead changes.
With 3:16 left in the first half, the Huskies surpassed WSU’s point total of 25 from Thursday on a jump shot from Shawn Kemp Jr.
Junior guard Nick Johnson led the way with 13 points. Freshman forward Aaron Gordon had six points and one rebound, and sophomore forward Brandon Ashley scored six and had two boards.
The Huskies shot 56 percent compared to 39 percent for Arizona and outrebounded the UA 17-12, but had 10 turnovers to the Wildcats’ four.
