The Arizona women’s basketball season began with an exhibition game against the West Texas A&M Lady Buffs. Cheers of fans filled the stadium as the Wildcats started the game strong with 34 points in the first quarter and continued the powerful offense all the way through the end of the game, leading to a victory for the Wildcats and a final score of 103-58. Kailyn Gilbert was named MVP for scoring 24 points throughout the game. The Wildcats play their next exhibition game against Point Loma on Nov. 1 and begin the season against New Mexico State on Nov. 6.
