Katie Powers, the Grand Marshall of the parade, and her dog Charlie participate in the Pets of Pima & Friends of PACC Parade on Feb. 18. Over Powers 20 years she has helped to spay and neuter over 35,000 animals of low-income families in Southern Arizona.

Tucson’s third annual Pets of Pima Parade & Friends of PACC Festival occurred on Feb. 18 in Downtown Tucson. According to PACC’s website the event honors the unique and loving bond between humans and their animal companions.” All donations and proceeds went to animal adoption and medical support. The parade started on Sixth Avenue and finished on Seventh Street. The event was not over after the parade, however: the festival continued with live music, food and shopping with pet friendly vendors.
