The University of Arizona gymnastic team’s season came to an end on Sunday, April 6 in Seattle, Wash., at the NCAA Seattle Regional Final. The Gymcats posted a 196.250 and came in fourth place following the University of Oklahoma, the University of Missouri and Auburn University.
Balance beam
The Wildcats earned a 48.850 on beam. Alysen Fears scored a graceful 9.825 to start off the night. Elena Deets added another 9.825 to Arizona’s score and Tirzah Wise recorded a 9.775.
Floor exercise
During floor exercise, the Gymcats posted a 49.300 on floor. Elizabeth LaRusso set the tempo for the rotation with a 9.80. Fears recorded a 9.875 herself and Abigayle Martin put up a 9.825. Emma Strom and Emily Mueller led the team with back-to-back 9.90s, wrapping up the second rotation of the night.
Vault
Arizona earned a 49.200 on vault. LaRusso began this rotation as well and earned a 9.775. Mueller and Fears added 9.80s while Martin posted a 9.775.
Uneven bars
The Gymcats completed the meet on bars and scored a 49.200. Sophie Derr and Deets earned 9.825s. Mueller put up a 9.775, followed by Aubrey Krohnfeldt posting a 9.80. Martin added a 9.850. Fears led her team with an impressive 9.90.
