The Arizona Board of Regents voted and passed the new UA tuition surcharge of $766 a year for state residents and $966 for non-residents today in the North Ballroom of the Student Union Memorial Center.
The approved surcharge is significantly less than the $1,100 originally asked for by UA President Robert Shelton.
The Northern Arizona University surcharge of $422 a year for residents and $522 for non-residents also passed.
Arizona State University saw a surcharge pass of $510 a year for residents and $710 for non-residents.
