Caitlin Lowe was chosen to represent the USA softball team for her third consecutive year.
Lowe, a senior center fielder, spent the last two summers on the team and helped lead the U.S. to the II World Cup of Softball and XI ISF Women’s World Championship titles in Japan.
Lowe was the only current Wildcat chosen for the team, but she will be joined by former Wildcats Jennie Finch, Alicia Hollowell and Lovie Jung. The team will once again be coached by UA head coach Mike Candrea.
The team will attempt to pick up its third gold medal this year when it travels to Yokohoma, Japan, Nov. 11 through Nov. 17 to compete in the IV Japan Cup.
Two incoming UA freshmen, infielder K’Lee Arredondo and catcher Stacie Chambers, were also selected for the U.S. Junior National Team, which is made up mostly of college freshmen and high school seniors.
