Virginia senator and democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine will campaign in Tucson later today. Kaine will host the Arizona Democratic Party Early Vote Rally at Sunnyside High School, located at 1725 E Bilby Rd. Doors to the rally open at 4:15 p.m. and speeches are expected to take place from 6:15p.m. to 7:15p.m.
Kaine’s visit to Arizona will follow an Early Vote Rally hosted by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at ASU on Wednesday.
His visit marks the last in a series of high-profile campaign stops in Arizona since it was designated a battleground state by both campaigns and pollsters.
Currently, FiveThirtyEight gives Trump a 71.2 percent chance of winning the state’s electoral votes.
Over the past few days, the state’s competitiveness decreased due to Obamacare hike revelations and the decision of the FBI to request a warrant to review emails obtained from a computer recovered during the investigation of Anthony Weiner that appear to have been sent or received from the private email server Clinton used while secretary of state.
Before traveling to Tucson, Kaine will make history in Phoenix by becoming the first vice presidential nominee to deliver a speech entirely in Spanish.
The Daily Wildcat will have live coverage of the rally and we’re inviting you to join the discussion. You can follow our #KaineinAZ coverage on Twitter @DailyWildcat or using the #KaineinAZ hashtag.
