Led by a career night by freshman forward Aaron Gordon, No. 1 Arizona beat Southern 69-43 to remain perfect on the season.
Gordon led all scorers with 21 points. The freshman’s previous career high was 19 against Texas Tech four games ago.
Gordon also had four rebounds and two assists but was 4-for-10 from the free-throw line for the Wildcats (12-0).
Junior guard Nick Johnson scored 17 points and had four rebounds and two assists. Sophomore forward Brandon Ashley had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Southern (3-8) had three players score in double figures; Calvin Godfrey and Malcolm Miller led the way with 11 points each.
The Wildcats shot 46 percent, while holding the Jaguars to 34 percent from the field.
Arizona was without sophomore center Kaleb Tarczewski, who sprained his ankle at Michigan on Saturday.
The UA returns to action against NAU on Monday at 8 p.m. MST on the Pac-12 Networks.
