Accreditation review is one of several upcoming events the ASUA Senate will see at this week’s Wednesday meeting.
The review takes place every 10 years.
The UA’s accreditation team has an informational presentation to preempt the Dec. 6 through 8 site visit for the Associated Students of the University of Arizona Senate.
Tanzbodeli, a proposed annual art and culture festival and the senate project of Sen. Taylor Bilby, has a reassessed budget to be possibly approved by the senate at this week’s meeting. This is the third proposal the senate has seen on the project.
A previously cancelled presentation by the Women’s Resource Center should occur this week, presenting its plans for its spring event calendar. The center is also asking the senate for $300 to help aid the planning and hosting of spring events.
Also, this week’s club funding passed by Monday’s appropriations board meeting needs the senate’s final stamp for approval.
Lambda Theta Alpha, an academic-based sorority for Latinas at the UA promoting scholarship, service, and ensuring graduation, requested money for a table, a banner, printing costs for flyers, a filing cabinet, and a tent in order to help their club operate, and got funding for all requests other than printing due to lack of mock receipts.
