Arizona loses their fifth straight Territorial Cup to ASU by 23 points

The Arizona football team faced off against the USC Trojans on Saturday, Oct. 30, at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The Arizona football team lost to the ASU Sun Devil’s by a score of 38-15. This was the final game of Jedd Fisch’s first season as their head coach and first time coaching in the territorial cup.

Arizona has now lost five straight territorial cup’s and have given up 108 points to ASU in their last two meeting’s.

Quarterback Will Plummer has completed 28-of-38 passes for a total of 346 yards one touchdown and one interception.

The Wildcats struggled to run the ball during today’s game. Six players touched the ball 34 times for a total of 50 yards.

Stanley Berryhill led the team in receiving yards and catches with ten catches for a total of 104 yards

Although the running attack couldn’t get going, they totaled 346 yards through the air with 10 players catching a ball.

Their defense allowed 228 rushing yards and two touchdowns during the contest.

Arizona state quarterback Jayden Daniels had 172 total yards and three total touchdowns.

The Wildcats finished the season with a 1-11 record during Fisch’s first season in Tucson.

Arizona showed some signs of life throughout the season but looked tired and warn out during today’s game.

The Wildcats will lose their defensive coordinator Don Brown to Massachusetts. He will become their Head Coach and return home to his home city.
