After a slow start offensively, Arizona men’s basketball trails Oregon State 22-21 at halftime in the McKale Center.
The Wildcats started the game 0-4 from deep and let Oregon State take a 9-2 lead by the first media timeout. Arizona came back during the next four minutes with a 8-2 run to bring it within four. It was a close game the rest of the half.
Arizona shot 38 percent from the floor and 2-for-11 from 3-point range while OSU shot 34 percent and hit 2-of-7 from deep. Arizona also gave up eight turnovers, four of them coming in the first eight minutes.
Allonzo Trier lead Arizona with six points. Trier shot 2-for-4 from the floor and was the only Wildcat to hit a three in the half.
Brandon Randolph missed a open dunk right after the first media timeout, but then turned around two possessions later and made a dunk off of a breakaway steal.
