Arizona football’s 2017 class is off to a stellar start.
Late Tuesday night, four-star athlete Greg Johnson committed to the Wildcats via Twitter.
Johnson, a Los Angeles native, is considered one of the top players on the west coast and is ranked as the No. 50 overall recruit in the class of 2017, according to Scout.com.
He had offers from a number of big name schools including Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida, Oregon and USC.
Johnson’s commitment to Arizona comes on the heels of an overhaul to the coaching staff.
Notably, head coach Rich Rodriguez hired Donte Williams and Tony Dews to spear west coast recruiting.
Johnson becomes the third member of Arizona’s 2017 class in addition to Braxton Burmeister and Rhett Rodriguez.
