Former Arizona basketball forward Aaron Gordon recently agreed to participate in the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. The competition will feature Zach Lavine, Andre Drummond, Will Barton and Gordon and will take place on Feb. 13 in Toronto. In honor of his selection here are the top five dunks Gordon hit while at the UA.
No. 5 Red-Blue Game Dunk Contest — Throwback to when Arizona fans were first introduced to the name Aaron Gordon.
No. 4 Inbounds Pass Dunk from TJ McConnell against SDSU — Although Arizona fans probably haven’t seen it very often this season, the inbounds alley-oop dunks were legendary in his time at the UA.
No. 3 Orlando Magic Rookie Photo Shoot — Although it didn’t technically happen at Arizona, this one is just too cool not to include.
No. 2 Half Court Alley-Oop from TJ McConnell at UCLA — What a momentum booster.
No. 1 Another inbounds alley-oop monster dunk against Colorado — I would be scared if I was that rim.
Nevertheless, Gordon still does his thing in the NBA — in case you were concerned — and most certainly has the chance to win the competition. Yes, this actually happened in a game against the Washington Wizards.
