Arizona football head coach Rich Rodriguez will continue to be the Wildcat head coach.
On Saturday night, he turned down South Carolina, who offered their head coaching vacancy to Rodriguez.
Happy and honored to be an Arizona Wildcat!! Bear Down!!

The announcement went viral as Arizona fans and staff took to Twitter to post their reactions.
Great news! @CoachRodAZ did not commit to the offer from S. Carolina. He’s an Arizona Wildcat. #BearDown

Many analysts predicted Rodriguez would be the next South Carolina head coach, including the ESPN College GameDay crew.
“SOURCE: RichRod was offered #Gamecock job,” Fox Sports reporter Bruce Feldman said on Twitter. “Mulled it over the flight home. Realized he wanted to stay at #Zona & has more work to do there.”
Rodriguez surely does have much work to do as the Wildcats prepare for a possible Bowl game after their 6-6 season.
Rodriguez will speak with the media on Sunday afternoon to talk about Arizona’s bowl game announcement.
