-It will include the Department of Geography and Regional Development and the Center for Applied Spatial Analysis.
-Their goal is to increase national rankings and encourage new research collaborations as well as new professional masters programs in Geographic Information Sciences and Technology and -Water Science, Society and Policy.
School of Natural Resources and the Environment
-College of Agricultural and Life Sciences
-The school will be formed from the current School of Natural Resources and the Office of Arid Lands.
-Current graduate and undergraduate programs will be unchanged in the new unit.
School of Information, Sciences, Technology and Arts
-College of Science within the Colleges of Letters, Arts and Science
-It will contain the Department of Computer Science and faculty with joint appointments from throughout campus.
-New courses will be developed that will serve as the core courses in information science in areas like finance, and homeland security.
School of Government and Policy
-Under the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences within the Colleges of Letters, Arts and Sciences
-Merge School of Public Administration and Policy from Eller College of Management and the Department of Political Science in Social and Behavioral Sciences into the new School.
-All current undergraduate and graduate programs in the two units will continue in the new school.
School of Mind, Brain, and Behavior
-College of Letters, Arts, and Science, College of Science, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Graduate College: Graduate Interdisciplinary Programs
-School will be formed from the department of Psychology, Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, the new Department of Neuroscience, and the Graduate Interdisciplinary Programs in Cognitive Science and in Neuroscience. There will be a new major developed in neuroscience and cognitive science.
-The current graduate and undergraduate programs of Psychology and of Speech Language and Hearing Science will move as separate programs.
School of Earth and Environmental Science

-Will be formed from the Departments of Geosciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Hydrology and Water Resources, Laboratory of Tree Ring Research, and Accelerator Mass Spectrometry Laboratory in College of Science and Dept of Soil, Water, and Environmental Science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
