The Arizona women’s golf team earned its second consecutive win on Tuesday, finishing 19 strokes ahead of UNLV at the UNLV Invitational, held at Las Vegas’ Cascata Golf Club.
Freshman Manon Gidali continued to explode onto the collegiate golf scene, tying teammate and fellow France native Isabelle Boineau for the individual victory at 2-over-par for the 54-hole event.
Gidali has finished atop the field at her first two events, finishing 12-under-par at the Wildcat Invitational earlier this month. Gidali’s performance at Tucson’s Golf Club at Vistoso broke Lorena Ochoa’s school record of 10-under-par for a 54-hole event.
Arizona finished with three players in the tournament’s top four and all five of its players in the top eight.
The Wildcats are off until March 18, when they are scheduled to take part in the Battle at Rancho Bernardo in California.
