Pima Animal Care Center is hosting its first annual Fall Festival event on Sunday, Nov. 12, from noon to 4 p.m., located at 4000 N. Silverbell Road.

The Fall Festival will have multiple food trucks and vendors attending, including Vail Sweet Treats, Churros El Rey and Jozarelli’s, an Italian food truck. There will also be games, activities, music and all animals at PACC will be free to adopt during the event.

Activities will include a scavenger hunt, bean bag toss game, ring toss game, horseshoes, duck pond game, pumpkin can toss and glitter tattoos. 

Kayleigh Murdock, a public information officer at PACC, said they currently have around 450 dogs and approximately 70 cats in the shelter.

“We are at critical capacity, so that means that we have more dogs than we really have room for. So, we are really looking for people to come out and adopt cats, of course, but especially dogs. We really need homes for dogs,” Murdock said.

According to Murdock, PACC’s main goals and inspiration for the Fall Festival adoption event are to find homes for as many animals as possible, continue to build positive relationships with the community and help people learn more about the work that they do.

Besides attending the PACC Fall Festival, there are also plenty of other opportunities for the public to support PACC as well. Volunteers are always needed, and there is a wide range of tasks that volunteers can help with, such as dog walkers, adoption counselors, enrichment volunteers, greeters and much more.
