People hold hands in preparation to dance at the Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration on the UA Mall on Oct. 9. Indigenous Peoples’ Day recognizes that Native Americans were on this land thousands of years before white settlers.

This past semester invited a succession of wild sports moments, intense global conflicts and delights of local life. Daily Wildcat photographers grasped those opportunities — whether heavy or enjoyable — and produced almost fifty photo galleries from August to November. Here are the top 10 moments of the semester.

Jay Corella is a senior studying Journalism and linguistics. He currently works as the assistant multimedia editor for the Daily Wildcat and is an intern with the University of Arizona’s Biocommunications department. In his personal life he enjoys reading, photography and music.
Noor Haghighi
Noor Haghighi, Editor-in-Chief
Noor Haghighi is a senior studying journalism and minoring in environmental studies, environmental science and Spanish. She works as the co-editor-in-chief of the Daily Wildcat and is a student worker at Arizona Public Media. Noor was the previous photo editor of the Daily Wildcat and she interned with local news organization Arizona Luminaria. She enjoys photography, wildlife and watching movies.

Gracie Kayko is a senior at the University of Arizona studying journalism with a minor in marketing.
