Mars HiRISE

Alfred McCwen (white button down shirt) and his team look at the first images taken of Mars by their HiRISE camera on Friday , March 24, 2006 in the Sonnet Building in Tucson, Arizona. The HiRISE camera onboard an orbiting Mars probe sent back its first images of the surface at around 1:30 a.m. with resolutions over 2.5 meters per pixel.
