Prosecutors allege Garcia-Chavez became angry with her 12-year-old son

She held it in place on the griddle while telling her son, “”That’s what you get,”” documents said.
The boy suffered second-degree burns, and his mother allegedly failed to treat the wounds or get immediate medical treatment for him.
The following morning, Garcia-Chavez asked to see the boy’s hand. She told him that if he got into trouble again she would burn his mouth instead, court documents said.
The boy was later taken to the hospital by police.
The judge ordered Garcia-Chavez to stay away from six people, including the victim and four other minors, while the case is pending.
