Guatelmalan art talk
Guatemalan Artist Carlos Chavez will discuss his paintings and the influence of historical memory and indigenous ancestry. This event is held in conjunction with the opening reception of the Carlos Chavez art exhibit at Galeria La Sirena, 2905 E. Broadway Blvd., on Sept. 13 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. The presentation will take place in the Communications building in room 206 at 2 p.m.
Metabolism seminar
Vahe Bandarian, assistant professor in the UA department of biochemistry and molecular biophysics, will give a seminar titled, “”From Primary Metabolism to Secondary Metabolites.”” This seminar will be held in Biosciences West room 208 at 4 p.m.
Buddhist meditation
The Little Chapel of All Nations will be holding Buddhist meditation instruction, practice and discussion, at the Ada Pierce McCormick Building located at 1401 E. First St. at noon.
