LGBT focus group meeting

The Diversity Resource Office will be holding an open meeting today to discuss a possible Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender center on campus at 10:30 a.m. in the DRO conference room, located on the second floor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center, 1322 E. First St. All members of the campus community are welcome to attend.

Popcorn Day

We will spare you the “”corny”” jokes – no, we won’t; after all, it’s National Popcorn Day. Americans consume 17 billion quarts of this Native American treat, according to the Popcorn Board Web site. Whether it’s cheddar or butter, popcorn is an explosive snack.

Staff award nominations

The Staff Advisory Council, the President’s Cabinet and the Appointed Professional Advisory Council are seeking nominations for the Staff Awards for Excellence.
