  • 12th Annual Undergraduate Summer Research Opportunities Program Poster Session. Eighty-five graduate school-bound juniors and seniors from schools across the U.S. and Puerto Rico will exhibit their summer research. 1-3 p.m. Student Union Memorial Center, North Ballroom.     • Wednesday, Aug. 8

  • Last day of classes and exams for the second summer session.

    • Thursday, Aug. 9

  • Degree awarding date for students completing requirements by the end of the second summer session.

  • Perseid meteor shower. UA Steward Observatory astronomer Thomas Fleming will give a special presentation on meteor showers. $4 for visitors ages 4 and up. 8-9:30 p.m. Call 621-3646 for more information.

  • Graduate student orientation.
