    Five Finalists To Vie For Most Eligible Bachelor Title

    January 13, 1956

    The UA’s Most Eligible Bachelor will be chosen at the Mortar Board Mardis Gras, Friday, Feb. 3rd, as UA coeds take advantage of leap year for the first girl-ask-boy dance of the new year.

    Chosen by sororities and dorms as finalist from a list of 22 candidates were Ketih Renken, Alan Polley, Jack Redhair, Marty Lang, and Mel Weidner.

    President of both the junior class and Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, Keith Renken lists sports and student government as his interests.

    Varsity football player and Phelps Dodge scholar describes Alan Polley, Phi Gamma Delta.

    Sigma Chi entrant is Jack Redhair, who contrary to his name has light brown hair. Redhair is sophomore class president, a member of Sophos, and on the varsity football.

    Mountain climbing and water skiing are among the interests of Mel Weidner, Sigma Phi Epsilon. Weidner is a graduate student.

    Marty Lang, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is a senior in engineering. Lang is a member of Who’s Who and Bobcats and has played varsity football for four years.
