Starting in the spring and extending into this fall camp, Arizona head football coach Rich Rodriguez has indicated that the Wildcats offense is ahead of the its defense.
If a press release from Saturday’s scrimmage at Arizona Stadium is any indication, the offense appeared to have the advantage yet again. Led by senior quarterback Matt Scott, the UA offense garnered 628 total yards and seven touchdowns in the 95-play scrimmage. The scrimmage was closed to the general public and media, but Wildcat Club members were in attendance.
“There were a lot of great plays out here today,” head coach Rich Rodriguez said in the press release. “But we didn’t have as much enthusiasm as I thought we would. This is a great stadium, a great playing surface and we want you to have fun out here. We start getting into ‘game-week’ from now on.”
