    Willie returns

Sophomore quarterback Willie Tuitama returned to action in the fourth quarter for the first time since his concussion against Louisiana State on Sept. 9. He spoke Saturday for the first time about the injury:

    On the injury itself:
“”There were two that were just like real, big-time hits, but that’s just a part of the game.””

On whether or not he was surprised that he stayed in until the third quarter of the LSU game after seeing the hits on film:
“”Kind of, but I know that I’m not going to take myself out of a game.””

On only having one day of practice before Saturday’s game:
“”Every day I still went over film, getting all the mental stuff. During practice, when (backup quarterback) Adam (Austin) was going, I was just taking mental reps.””

On getting the chance to come into the game late:
“”(UA offensive coordinator Mike) Canales told me that I could get in possibly sometime in the second quarter, but the game, we kind of started off slow and everything, and I waited it out. … I just got the call in the fourth and tried to do my best.””

On not being able to start:
“”I wanted to play from the beginning, but the trainers, they had to do what they had to do, you know, because that’s their job. I’m just happy that I got a chance to go in there and play a little bit, especially before USC.””
