On the spot: Is ‘E.R.’ really going to die this time?

Arizona Daily Wildcat reporter Mike Christy spoke with Katie Dixon, a pre-nursing freshman.

    So how’s nursing going?

    Pretty good. It’s hard.

Where would you want to go with nursing? Do you want to stay here or go somewhere abroad?

I’d really like to study abroad but I don’t know how that would work out.

    What’s your favorite hospital show?

    Um, probably “”House.””

I don’t watch “”House”” that much.
    Hugh Laurie’s great.

    Is he?

    Yeah, he’s hilarious.

I don’t know about Fox’s television lineup, to be honest. They always have the edgy shows.
    He’s really funny.

    What about “”Scrubs””?
I like “”Scrubs.”” I don’t watch it that much, but a lot of my friends are into it.

I lost my train of thought. Oh yeah! Are you as sick and tired of ER as the rest of the world is?
Yes! Oh my God, I used to watch it and I don’t even watch it anymore.

Well what I do, is I think “”Oh my God, George Clooney used to be on that show.””
    (Laughs).

I really don’t know how you can go much farther than mass … drama … I don’t know how many emergency victims you can have.
They take it too far. Like, every finale is like this huge thing.

I think every season’s gonna be the series finale but they’re like, “”No … doctors are back!””
    (Laughs).

I think I saw the commercial like five times yesterday.
(Laughs) Nobody wants to watch it…
