Tucson’s first-ever citywide Transgender Awareness Week, coordinated by the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership and Wingspan, will feature screenings, talks and other events this week at the UA to promote education about the transgender community. Events will center around the week’s theme: “”Invisible Identities within the Trans Community.””
Protect your computer
The UA Information Security Office of the Office of Student Computing Resources is hosting the fourth UA Security Awareness Day today. Starting at 10 a.m., stop by the tent on the UA Mall or the Tucson Room in the Student Union Memorial Center to learn more about protecting your computer and confidential information from hackers.
Give blood
Make an appointment or walk in at one of the campus locations holding blood drives today through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Go to www.givelife.org and use the sponsor code “”wildcat”” or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE to make an appointment. Blood drive locations include the UofA Bookstore and North Grand Ballroom in the Student Union Memorial Center, the Games Room in the Park Student Union and on the UA Mall near the Main Library.
