A press conference scheduled yesterday to announce the new Arizona men’s basketball assistant coach was postponed to today at 1:30 p.m. due to issues with human resources.
Former UA assistant coach Kevin O’Neill will reportedly return to head coach Lute Olson’s staff.
O’Neill, a noted defensive specialist and recruiting star, spent this year as a consultant for the Indiana Pacers. He served as head coach of the Toronto Raptors during the 2003-04 season.
O’Neill would replace former UA associate head coach Jim Rosborough, who worked at Arizona for 18 years. Rosborough declined another position in the basketball department.
