    • Chocolate has four times more of the same antioxidants, to neutralize free radicals that can cause cell damage, than tea.
    • Chocolate can ease a cough. It contains theobromine, which suppresses activity in the vagus nerve which causes coughing.
    • The Swiss eat the most chocolate. The average person eats 19 pounds a year.
    • The shelf life of a bar of chocolate is approximately one year.
    • Chocolate has less caffeine than tea, coffee or cola. A 1 oz bar contains about 6 mg of caffeine, whereas a 5 oz ounce cup of regular coffee contains over 40 mg.
