Sigma Alpha Epsilon Win Pajama Race

Sigma Alpha Epsilon won the Interfraternity Pledge Council’s (IFPC) annual Pajama Race yesterday afternoon. Ten men from each fraternity participated in the relay race.

The SAE’s were wearing fluorescent green shirts and shorts, with their Greek letters in fluorescent orange on the back of the shirts. The Greek letters of their sponsor, Delta Delta Delta sorority, were in the orange on the front of the shirts.

Alpha Epsilon Phi pledges ran, because the Phi Delta Theta pledges, who the AEPhi’s were sponsoring, were having a walkout.

Te Chi Phi pledges won the award for the most original costume. The Chi Phi’s, a new colony on campus, were sponsored by Delta Gamma. They had their mascot, a St. Bernard dog, with them.

Each Chi Phi pledge wore a pair of long white underwear with their Greek letters in black on the back. On the front they had fluorescent flowers, painted on white material, attached to the underwear. The stems, leaves, and grass were in green felt and also were attached to the underwear. On the tail end of each pledge was a yellow flower made from crepe paper.

This is the first year that a prize has been given for the most original pajamas, which were decorated by sorority pledges.
