Chicano Vibez gathered at Mercado San Agustin Annex the weekend of October 14 for a celebration of the food, entertainment, fashion, art and music that encapsulate Chicano culture. “Chicano” is a word that many American-born Mexicans identify with in embracing their Mexican Native background in the U.S. Sprinkled throughout the festival were vendors who sold clothing, jewelry, trinkets and more. Shops such as Bintage Wear, owned by Yulisa Olvera, had secondhand T-shirts for sale. Several other small businesses sold their body care items and artwork.
