Indigenous Peoples’ Day was celebrated on the University of Arizona Mall on Oct. 14. Indigicat Student Association, which promotes Native American culture for UA students, planned the day’s celebrations. From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., a variety of people and groups came to celebrate on the Mall including a blessing by Miguel Flores Jr., Haven’s Women’s Drum Group, dancers and more.

Noor Haghighi is a senior studying journalism and minoring in environmental studies, environmental science and Spanish.
