Emma LaPointe, Editor-in-Chief
Emma LaPointe is the Editor-in-Chief for the Daily Wildcat and is a junior studying political science, journalism and German studies at the University of Arizona W.A Franke Honors College. At the Wildcat, Emma has covered local politics and community issues. She has interned for Tucson Spotlight, a local nonprofit newsroom, since summer 2025. Emma is also an SBS Ambassador representing the J-School and has formerly worked on elections with the Associated Press. She hopes to pursue a career in human rights law after graduation and plans to continue in journalism or to work as a human rights advocate. Emma loves collaborating with the talented reporters at the Wildcat and is excited for what this year will bring. A fun fact is that she is also a powerlifter!
