Ruby Wray, News Editor
Ruby Wray is the managing editor for the Spring 2026 semester at the Daily Wildcat. Ruby previously worked as assistant news editor and news reporter, covering campus safety, local politics, and research. Her work spanned election coverage, UAPD, federal funding and post-election university changes. She is interning with Tucson Spotlight, a local nonprofit newsroom. Currently in her sophomore year at the University of Arizona, she’s majoring in journalism and international studies and minoring in Spanish and creative writing. She tutors writing at the Think Tank Writing Center and helps run the Women in Journalism club. Her interests include investigative reporting, international affairs, information accessibility, and (hopefully one day!) publishing nonfiction and fiction work. These interests will hopefully be channelled into work abroad and a career in writing and speaking, whether in print journalism, law, foreign correspondence, publishing or investigative reporting. When she’s not in school, she enjoys reading, going dancing, cooking and seeing movies with her friends.
