    Stanford at Arizona

Normally, I would have to go with the team that beat USC over the team that almost beat USC. But after the stunning victory over the Trojans, Stanford went on to lose 38-36 at home to the No. 7 team in the MWC, Texas Christian, leading me to believe its win against then-No. 2 USC was merely one of those crazy college football flukes. Plus, Arizona is undefeated against teams that failed to make a bowl last season. I see that trend continuing.

Even though it beat USC a few weeks ago, Stanford just plain stinks. But heck, so far this season Arizona hasn’t smelled too good, either. This game is a must-win for Arizona, and I refuse to believe they are going to lose to Stanford. It’s time for the smart kids over there to break out the calculators and add up the points Arizona scores. Expect Arizona to put on a cleaning like the one needed for John David Booty’s underwear after USC’s loss to the Cardinal.

Stanford continues to occupy the Pac-10 basement, despite a monumental upset over then-No. 2 USC two weekends ago. The Cardinal’s athletics site even began taking pre-orders for commemorative “”upset special”” T-shirts. With similarly low standards and season expectations, should the Wildcats sell T-shirts after beating Stanford? The offensive line needs to find consistency, which would enable a Nick Grigsby rushing assault, Çÿ la the Washington State rout.
