An infamous part of college life is the all-nighters. Whether you are studying all night or having fun with your roommates, your stomach will surely growl at the oddest hours. Here are some places that cater to the college lifestyle and are open late:
Grill, 100 E. Congress St. – A great place for diner-style eats, with a friendly and artsy atmosphere, they are open 24/7.
Best bets: big bowl of Cap’n Crunch, tater tots and coffee milkshakes. Be sure to check out the photo booth in the back and awesome artwork that decorates the walls.
Coffee Xchange, 2443 N. Campbell Ave. and 2721 E. Speedway Blvd. – Open 24/7 and a hopping college hangout, they have free wireless internet, couches and all the coffee you could dream of. Many people go there to study, read or catch up with friends. They have excellent coffee and fresh pastries made daily. They are a convenient place to stop by for some coffee and to study.
Best bet: Java Xtreme.
Los Betos, 914 E. Speedway Blvd. (closest campus location) – A Tucson tradition and a fabulous option if you have the munchies and care about the taste of your food. There are many locations around town, but this one is practically on campus. The lobby is always open and consequently can always provide some very entertaining characters.
Best bets: bean and cheese burrito and horchata (a traditional Mexican cinnamon and rice milk drink).
Epic CafǸ, 745 N. Fourth Ave. – A short walk from campus, plus they are open from 6 a.m. until midnight and serve delicious vegetarian and vegan options, along with every deli-type delight you could think of. This includes sandwiches, fruit salad and pie. With food that’s always natural, homemade and fresh, this cafǸ has a laid-back downtown atmosphere. Live music, concerts and poetry readings take place there often.
Best bets: espresso and vegan brownies.
