The final suspect in the armed robbery that took place near Old Main early Monday was arrested, officials said.
Ruben Gregory Robles, 23, turned himself into the Tucson Police Department three days after the incident, according to a TPD press release. Robles was booked into the Pima County Jail and charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated assault.
The University of Arizona Police Department responded to a call on Oct. 20 when two students were robbed at gunpoint and a shot was fired. The students were walking in the area near Old Main, 1200 E. University Blvd. The suspect fled to an awaiting vehicle, which was described as a four-door Ford Taurus. The car drove westbound on University Boulevard.
TPD stopped a vehicle matching the description about 20 minutes after the shooting, at around 1 a.m. Monday. The two people in the vehicle were identified as Greg Garrison, 17, and Alfonso Aguilar, 17. The last suspect fled the scene on foot.
The two men were arrested and booked at the Pima County Jail on two charges of robbery and two charges of aggravated robbery.
A media release from the UAPD said all suspects have been identified and arrested in connection with the robbery.
