Arizona football earned a notable and familiar recruit Saturday night — a player whom Arizona football head coach Rich Rodriguez knows all too well.
Rhett Rodriguez, Rich Rodriguez’s son, confirmed on Twitter Saturday that he will be attending the UA on a full scholarship:

Rhett Rodriguez currently plays at Catalina Foothills and will join the Wildcats in 2017. Currently, he has been a third-year starter and team captain for the Falcons.
In his junior season, Rhett Rodriguez finished with 2,551 passing yards, along with 20 passing touchdowns on 158-235 attempts. On the ground, he rushed for 638 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.
“Adding to that OKG17. Awesome surprise on a Saturday night,” Arizona’s recruiting coordinator Matt Dudek said about the addition of Rodriguez’s son.
