After initially being diagnosed as concussion free, freshman pitcher Nancy Bowling does have a concussion.
Bowling, ESPN’s No. 7 ranked recruit, was hit by a line drive Saturday during a scrimmage.
“The verdict was no concussion, when we left the hospital, but then she developed some symptoms and so she’s concussed right now,” head coach Mike Candrea said.
Senior Kenzie Fowler is out as she recovers from back surgery.
Arizona’s pitching staff will be at half strength with juniors Shelby Babcock and Estela Piñon, a junior college transfer, the only pitchers left standing for their five games in three days tournament, the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. this weekend.
