Rivalry Week: Arizona vs ASU

Arizona fans and ASU fans hold up signs during Arizona’s 58-21 loss against ASU in Tempe last season. According to academic research, the UA-ASU rivalry is the most intense rivalry in the nation.

More than bragging rights are at stake in the annual Territorial Cup on Friday, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still poke fun at your archrival.

The No. 11/12 Wildcats face No. 13/13 ASU on Black Friday with a possible Pac-12 South championship and/or a trip to the Fiesta Bowl on the line, but regardless of whether or not No. 8/9 UCLA gets upset by Stanford, the hate between Arizona and ASU will remain.

Whether you hate the “Scum Devils” and “ASSU” or the “Rats” and “AU” the rivalry is one of the strongest in the country.
